The man being labeled as the "East Area Rapist," "Original Night Stalker" and the "Golden State Killer", Joseph Deangelo, has pleaded guilty to a  total of 26 counts, including 13 for first degree murder and 13 for kidnapping.

Deangelo had been accursed of almost 50 rapes, and after almost 40 years of getting away with his crimes, a DNA match from a genealogy website led to him being arrested in April of 2018 by Sacramento law enforcement in Citrus Heights.
